A Holomorphic Characterization of Operator Algebras

A necessary and sufficient condition for an operator space to support a multiplication making it completely isometric and isomorphic to a unital operator algebra is proved. The condition involves only the holomorphic structure of the Banach spaces underlying the operator space.

Hypersurfaces of a Sasakian space form with recurrent shape operator

Let $(M^{2n},g)$ be a real hypersurface with recurrent shapeoperator and tangent to the structure vector field $xi$ of the Sasakian space form$widetilde{M}(c)$. We show that if the shape operator $A$ of $M$ isrecurrent then it is parallel. Moreover, we show that $M$is locally a product of two constant $phi-$sectional curvaturespaces.

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

Wirtinger numbers and holomorphic symplectic immersions

For any subvariety of a compact holomorphic symplectic Kähler manifold, we define so-called Wirtinger number W (X). We show that W (X) 1, and the equality is reached if and only if the subvariety X ⊂ M is trianalytic, i. e. compactible with the hyperkähler structure on M .

On Local Isometric Immersions into Complex and Quaternionic Projective Spaces

We will prove that if an open subset of CPn is isometrically immersed into CPm, withm < (4/3)n−2/3, then the image is totally geodesic. We will also prove that if an open subset of HPn isometrically immersed into HPm, with m < (4/3)n− 5/6, then the image is totally geodesic.
